Our Story

Pearland Brokerage is a full-service insurance brokerage with more than 50 years of experience. We pride ourselves on being a third-generation family business that’s dedicated to providing excellent service and personal attention to each of our clients.

The Greenbaum family got its start in the New York City taxi business when Andy Greenbaum became a taxi driver and purchased a NYC yellow taxicab medallion in 1952. Andy was eager to develop his career ambitions, and in 1959, he enrolled in insurance school and became a licensed insurance broker. His wife Pearl was a sharp business woman and together they established Pearland Brokerage. The business continued to expand through the years in both its number of insureds and types of insurance products offered.

Today, Andy and Pearl’s son and grandchildren run Pearland Brokerage with the same enthusiasm and values that the Greenbaum family has always stood by. The family is committed to continuing the tradition and exploring innovative ways to improve for the next generation of customers.

Pearland has been lucky to build an incredible team of executives, managers, and staff who have been instrumental in the ongoing success of the company.

With that team and leadership, Pearland has become New York City’s premier full-service insurance organization, providing all the goods and services needed in the TLC for-hire vehicle industry and more. With five offices throughout New York City, Pearland is always easily accessible and eager to service all of your needs.
